Terms of service

Last updated 2 October 2026

These terms are an agreement between you and In Code Studios Ltd (“we”, “us”), which runs Going Postal at goingpostal.app. By creating an account or using the service you accept them. If you use Going Postal for a company or agency, you accept them on its behalf and confirm you are allowed to. Our privacy policy explains how we handle personal data.

1. What Going Postal does

Going Postal is a tool for designing, checking and exporting email templates, with AI assistance, client review and pushes to email platforms. It does not send campaigns. The only emails it sends for you are test sends (up to 5 recipients each and 50 a day per team) and review requests to the client contacts you add.

You send your campaigns through your own email platform, and you are responsible for that sending: having consent or another lawful basis to email people, honouring unsubscribes, and complying with anti-spam and privacy laws such as PECR, the UK and EU GDPR and CAN-SPAM. Unsubscribe and preference links in Going Postal templates are placeholders that your email platform fills in.

2. Accounts and teams

  • You must be at least 18 and give accurate details. Keep your password safe; you are responsible for activity on your account.
  • Content belongs to a team. The team’s owner controls its plan and billing; owners and admins manage members and clients. A team’s content stays with the team when a member leaves.
  • Each seat is for one named person. Don’t share logins.

3. Plans, trials and payment

  • Plans, prices and limits are shown on our pricing page. New accounts get a 14-day trial of the Pro plan without a card. When it ends, the team moves to the Free plan unless you subscribe.
  • Paid plans are billed monthly or yearly in advance and renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel at any time from the billing page; the plan stays active until the end of the period you have paid for.
  • Payments are handled by Stripe. For some purchases Stripe’s reseller service is the seller of record: its name appears at checkout and on your invoice, it collects any sales tax or VAT, and its customer terms also apply to the payment.
  • Extra seats on the Agency plan are charged pro rata for the rest of the billing period.
  • Fees are not refundable for partial periods or unused allowances, except where the law requires a refund or we decide to give one.
  • If a payment fails, we keep paid features on for 7 days while you update your card; after that the team moves to the Free plan. Your content is kept.
  • We may change prices. We will give at least 30 days’ notice by email, and the new price applies from your next renewal after that.

4. AI features

  • AI output can be wrong, incomplete or unsuitable. Review everything before you use or send it. Previews, QA checks and dark mode previews are simulations and can’t guarantee how every inbox will display an email.
  • Monthly AI allowances reset each calendar month (UTC) and unused messages don’t carry over.
  • Only use brand import on websites, screenshots and emails that you or your client have the right to use.

5. Your content

  • You own the emails, images, brand assets and other content you put into Going Postal, and the output generated for you. You give us a licence to host, process, display and transmit it only as needed to run the service for you.
  • You confirm you have the rights to everything you upload, and that using it in Going Postal doesn’t break any law or anyone’s rights.
  • Uploaded images are served from public web addresses so they show in sent emails. Don’t upload anything that must stay private.
  • If you send us feedback or ideas, we may use them without owing you anything.

6. Our templates and the Free plan footer

  • You may use our built-in and gallery templates, and emails built from them, in your own and your clients’ email campaigns. You may not resell or redistribute the templates themselves as templates.
  • Emails exported on the Free plan include a small “Sent with Going Postal” footer. Don’t remove it; upgrade to a paid plan to export without it.
  • The Going Postal software, design and brand remain ours. These terms don’t give you any rights to them beyond using the service.

7. Agencies and client contacts

If you add client contacts, invite people or send test emails, you are responsible for having a lawful basis to give us their details and for telling them how their data is used. We process that data on your behalf as described in our privacy policy; ask privacy@goingpostal.app for a data processing agreement. Client review pages show your brand rather than ours.

8. Acceptable use

You must not use Going Postal to:

  • create or support spam, phishing, scams, malware or misleading emails;
  • infringe anyone’s intellectual property, privacy or other rights, or impersonate anyone;
  • create content that is unlawful, hateful, harassing or sexually exploits anyone;
  • probe, overload or get around the service’s security or limits, scrape it, or access other teams’ data;
  • resell the service, or use it to build a competing product, without our written agreement.

9. Other services

When you connect Mailchimp, Klaviyo, HubSpot, Brevo or another service, your use of it is governed by your agreement with that provider. We aren’t responsible for their services, changes to their APIs, or outages.

10. Availability and changes

We work to keep Going Postal available and secure but don’t promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may change, add or remove features. If we remove a major paid feature you rely on, we will tell you in advance and you may cancel.

11. Suspension and closing accounts

  • You can stop using Going Postal at any time. To delete your account, email privacy@goingpostal.app.
  • We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, puts the service or others at risk, or doesn’t pay. Where reasonable we will warn you first and give you a chance to fix the problem and export your content.
  • Download anything you want to keep before your account closes; after that we delete it as our privacy policy describes.

12. Liability

  • Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that can’t be limited by law.
  • Otherwise, we aren’t liable for loss of profit, revenue, business, goodwill or data, or for any indirect or consequential loss.
  • Our total liability in any 12 months is limited to the fees you paid us in those 12 months, or £100 if that is greater.
  • If you use Going Postal as a consumer, you also have rights under consumer law that these terms don’t affect.

13. Your responsibility for claims

If you use Going Postal for a business, you will cover our reasonable losses from a third-party claim caused by your content, your emails or campaigns, or your breach of these terms.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We will email account owners at least 30 days before a change that materially affects them, and continuing to use Going Postal after that means you accept it. If you don’t, you can cancel before it takes effect.

15. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and its courts have exclusive jurisdiction, except that consumers can also bring proceedings where they live.
